The 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment is a Battlefield 3, PlayStation 3 online gaming community designed to allow PlayStation 3 Minnesota, Upper Midwest and other Battlefield 3 players to better communicate and coordinate team playing.
The 1st Minnesota is not an exclusive community only for Minnesota residents, although it is based out of the North Star State and actively seeks users from the Upper Midwest. Regardless, it is open to all Battlefield 3 players regardless of location and is a recreational platform designed for players to play both recreationally and competitively by providing a large database of members that focus on a particular style of play. Members are encouraged to communicate with other members using our master roster in order to best tailor their squad to fit the gaming experience they so desire.
Active membership, although recommended, is not required. Soldiers in the regiment may come and go as they please and we focus on purely recreational gameplay, although competitive skirmishes have the possibility to be coordinated. It is a regiment only designed to be used as a medium for members to more easily coordinate team action and playing.
Members upon registering are recommended to join one of four battalions, each focusing on a specific style of Battlefield play (infantry, vehicle, rotary wing, fixed wing) and are then assigned to a company within the requested battalion depending on their most frequent style of play. This further facilitates the ability for other 1st Minnesota soldiers to find soldiers they wish to include in their online squads in order to tailor their needs and facilitate coordinated teamwork.
